Mark Yates

Bradford born artist Mark Yates trained as a graphic designer and went on to begin a career in sign writing and graphic art. He designed album sleeves for his own rock band Terrorvision in which he is the guitarist and co-songwriter.

Now a qualified calligrapher, Mark has developed his own unique style; bold and sleek and still using his sign writing brushes. Mark introduces a fun element to a normally serious art world. His paintings certainly have a WOW factor.

Painting onto canvas or board, using re-claimed paint, Mark's work is gradually cropping up in a variety of venues worldwide.

Whilst he's busy creating private commissions and portraits, Yates' conversation provoking images are also available in print form onto canvas and perspex.
